Lets Make a Difference

(I'm going to say sorry now. I think this post is all over the place. I’ve just got so much on my mind about this topic, and its just so good I don't know where to start! Enjoy. )



Isn't prayer amazing? You can do such much through prayer. I think through prayer, you can change the world.

I'm reading this book at the moment (along with many others I've started, which I don't know why. I just can't stick to one.) It's called My Life, His Mission, which I purchased at a Leadership Conference called Resonate in Bellville this past weekend. (That might be other good post coming up!) This book is about true stories from students who have taken mission trips internationally. It’s a six week challenge, reading a chapter a day. I'm only on the fourth day, and already I'm inspired.

Patience and prayer goes hand in hand. But if you think your waiting for a long time, just think, God is also waiting patiently; for His followers to share the good news. "When the good news about the kingdom has been preached all over the world and told to all nations, the end will come." (Matt. 24:14)

Just a side note- If you have been praying for something to happen, just keep waiting! God is stirring up something exciting! It just takes time.

I think we should always be praying for other nations and people who need to hear about the gospel. There is many ways that you can pray for God to share the gospel to many different nations. All you have to do is ask! We should always be praying for people who don’t know Jesus. People who haven’t heard about the gospel. Don’t forget to pray for your own community also. Can you imagine if every Christian friend of yours prays for people who aren’t followers of the Lord, they all pray that they will find out the good news soon? Can you imagine how big of a change you will make? With everyone praying, you can make an impact on the world.

I heard this song on the radio a while ago. I haven’t heard this song in a long time. Have you ever heard a song a million times and knew the lyrics but you never really “listened” to the words? When this song came on the radio as I was driving to school, I listened to this song and its lyrics, instead of just “hearing” it. (Two totally different things.) And I thought to myself, why the heck are we waiting? What are we waiting for? Why don’t we make the change we want to see.

Keep this verse in mind. Its one of my favourites! Mark 11:24 “Everything you ask for in prayer will be yours, if only you have faith.” Its such a great reminder of how powerful or Lord is!

So choose to make a difference in the world.
