Beautiful Artwork

Artwork....ah, it’s breathtaking! I love looking at paintings. Sometimes I get so captured, that I start “looking beyond” the piece of work. The brush strokes, the colours and how they blend. The emotion it conveys. The style of painting. Oh, and the list goes on!

To describe a painting, we might use words like- beautiful, bright, clean, colourful, elegant, rich, light, busy, different, calming, lively, (and the list goes on). Have you ever stared at a painting and thought about it? I mean like REALLY thought about it? Have you ever used some of those words to describe it? Was it beautiful? Graceful? Calming? What about the brush strokes? The colours used? What do you think the artist was thinking at the time? Why did they decide to paint this?

When walking down the street and someone passes by, do you judge them for what they look like?

Paintings and people are the same. They are both artwork. The artist has given thought about what colour, brush, and technique to use and where on the canvas you should be placed.

God is the artist, the world is His canvas, you are the artwork.

God made us all beautiful. He might of used a different brush or colour, but we are still a piece of artwork. It’s as simple as that. You ask, why did God paint me? Well, because he has a vision for you. He cares about the brush strokes and the colours and the technique. Every detail. He wants to show of His artwork to the world. He first starts with the blueprints, what He wants to create. When these blueprints belong to God, we can be assured that its going to be a beautiful piece of artwork. This painting is going to be worth A LOT someday! it's very valuable :)
